City set to create 230 sports pitches (The Herald)
Hundreds of new and upgraded sports pitches are to be developed by Glasgow City Council over the next seven years. The council will be asked tomorrow to allocate 25m to replace 230 old-fashioned red blaes pitches with grass or artificial turf and build dozens of new ones.
Staffordshire County Council gets new direct of ICT (PublicTechnology.net)
Staffordshire County Council has appointed a new Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Sander Kristel will join the authority in May. The 36-year-old has a wealth of experience in ICT gained in both Britain and Holland.
